๐ Introducing our INDI1 Baseline! ๐
After a multistep, multidisciplinary, and multi-objective optimization campaign, weโve selected the most promising configuration aimed at significantly improving Local Air Quality and Noise (LAQN).
The INDI1 aircraft has been designed to cover 1000nm while maintaining the same MTOW and Maximum Payload as the A320. Here are the prospective improvements over the A320:
โ๏ธ Fuel burn below 900m: Reduction of 68.2%
๐ Noise (EPNL): Reduction of 11.5 dB
โฝ Block fuel: Reduction of 30.1%
A big shoutout to the in-house MDAO code MOTIVATION, which, based on the OpenMDAO library, played a key role in integrating all INDIGO’s partner expertise and guiding towards this remarkable results
