๐ Exciting News from the INDIGO EU Project Team! ๐
๐ We are excited to announce that our team at CRIDA A.I.E. has made substantial progress in developing a model to select the most environmental friendly trajectories for airport Landing and Take-off operations, at four different airports of study: Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat, Riga and Dortmund ๐.
๐ก We are proud to share our initial research results, within WP4, the potential benefits of the introduction of the INDIGO EU Project hybrid-electric aircraft in operations of Madrid and Barcelona airports.
โ๏ธ The results demonstrated the 85% of general LAQ and Noise reductions of the airports and surroundings, up to 86% of LAQ maximum reduction comparing specific trajectories and procedures, and up to 27% of Noise maximum reduction.
๐ In future scenarios where all traffic growth forecast is replaced with INDIGO EU Project aircraft, promising benefits in environmental impact can be ensured.
