INDIGO has been officially kicked-off
INDIGO has been officially kicked-off in Puerta de Toledo campus at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid on 16/03/2023.
INDIGO (INtegration and Digital demonstration of low-emission aIrcraft technoloGies and airport Operations) overarching objective is to explore, develop and perform initial validation of technical solutions for the combination of Distributed Electrical Propulsion (DHEP) and Large Aspect-ratio Wings (LARW) airframes capable of exploiting the most recent noise reduction technologies (NRT) and fully-electric/SAF operations at low altitudes over airports.
The 3 year project, which received an Eu funding of ~3.1 millions euro (and a parallel funding of 1.3 million euro to the UK partners) is coordinated by our research team at UC3M.
